Rated four stars by Golf Digest magazine, the Castlegar Golf Course has been singled out by major golfing magazines as one of the best courses to play in Western Canada. The Castlegar golf course, a member of the Kootenay golf trail has also been praised for providing exceptional value along with a remarkable golf experience. Situated above the Columbia River, the Castlegar golf course course is a 18 hole championship, semi-private course. Their facilities include a well stocked Pro Shop, restaurant and clubhouse. If you are on the road traveling, they also have a 20 site RV park. All you would expect is on offer at the Castlegar golf course. They offer private lessons, a driving range, practice greens, club rentals and power carts.
With the hiring of veteran course superintendent Craig Stocker, the Club has made a conscious effort in the last recent years to regain the Championship form it had been known for. Under the direction of Craig, the course conditions have improved year after year. They hosted the BC Senior Amateur in 2007, the BC Amateur in 2010 and the BC Senior games in 2011. They have hosted top tournaments in the past and will continue to look to host the best amateurs on their challenging course.
With an excellent practice facility, their full service championship golf course is a “must play” for any Kootenay Rockies golf holiday.
